Senior People Ops Associate - Taiwan HQ

【 Position Summary 】 Inline’s global team is seeking a highly organized, mature, and proactive Senior People Operations professional to join us in Taipei. The right person will play a pivotal role in supporting inliners in Taiwan with the resources they need, and take the lead engaging with local and national government for health, safety, and workplace standards. This role will provide opportunities to nurture your skills and explore career paths within a growing, customer-centric software company. The level and title will depend on your skills and experience. 【 Key Responsibilities 】 ● Learn proactively and largely on your own to get answers and provide helpful advice to managers and execs, through quick, effective research and study, and not by asking colleagues how to do X, Y, Z or relying on lawyers. ●Onboard new employees across Taiwan with care and thoughtfulness, and ensure they have access to necessary resources. ● Responsible for and manage programs to help keep inliners physically healthy (on-site medical services, health checks, company-provided meal choices, etc.) ● Take the lead on initiatives to keep inliners and visitors physically safe, and be one of inline’s official OSHA-certified safety officers. ● Support employees on a day-to-day basis and answer questions about benefits and policies etc. ○ Moms and Dads: inline has a lot of parents with children, help them with the specific resources and accommodations they need. ○ Newlyweds: inline has a lot of newly-married people, take the lead helping them with the specific types of accommodations they need. Interns: 50+ people have interned at inline in recent years, take the lead helping them learn about the world of work, and support with resources they need. (but might not know are available) ○ Single professionals: half of the people working at inline are single, engage and support them with the resources they need. ○ People with Disabilities: we actively try to recruit talented professionals who happen to have disabilities, and accommodate inliners who become disabled - have an impact by taking the lead on how we can best accommodate. ○ Grandparents: take the lead learning what we can do to support the unique needs of grandparents working at inline. (as soon we have some!) ● Take a lead role in day-to-day employee relations, from coordination and clarification, through mediation and successful resolutions. ● Help keep employee records complete, up to date, and organized in the inline HRIS tools. ● Collaboratively engage with the Taipei City government (OSHA), Immigration Bureau (visas for new hires), Ministry of Labor (LSA compliance), and other agencies both proactively and reactively. ● As time permits, partner with department heads and hiring managers to identify talent gaps and take the necessary actions for bridging the gap of organizational capability. Contacting candidates, scheduling interviews, and other recruiting tasks. 【 What this role is NOT focused on 】 ● Actively headhunting or proactive recruiting - this is not a Recruiter role. Helping with operational aspects sometimes while we are in slow-hiring mode, yes, but “Recruiter role,” no. ● Learning & Professional Development - this is not an L&D role. Helping with operational aspects sometimes perhaps, but we won’t have a L&D-focused role until we’re a more mature, larger organization. There is plenty of learning and skill development that happens at inline, senior managers of functional areas see to that. ● Taking the lead on Wellness coordination - if you have passion for this, sweet! But we have people who enjoy and have already earned the privilege to spend time on this.
