The Role The India Lab Facilities Engineer will be an SME in one or more of - Electrical, Mechanical, Gas & Chemical Engineering with hands-on experience in Semiconductor manufacturing either a Fab or AT site. The candidate will drive the facility operations for all Labs within the India portfolio. The position is based in Bengaluru and will report to the India Lab Facilities Engineering Lead, Global Workplace & Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Overall Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical infrastructure to support semiconductor processing in the Lab.
Plan: The Roadmap for the lab – Understanding internal customer tooling requirements, validating these requirements and schedules, studying feasibility, planning facility needs and capacity needs and planning for them in both budget and execution Build: All Retrofit, EOL and Engineering. projects within the lab, this would also include tool hook-ups to facilities utility infrastructure (Power, CDA/OFA, PCW, Gases, Chemicals, Pumps, Scrubbers, Abatements, etc.,) Run: Take full ownership to run the lab 24x7 365 days a year with 100% uptime, high availability and reliability, zero down time and interrupts.
Requirement 15+ years of experience within a large corporation, preferably managing facilities operations for mid to large scale Campuses. 10+ years of experience in a semiconductor Fab or AT site facility management operations. 5+ years of experience in directly managing employees. Certifications: CFM, IFMA, PE, etc., Languages: English, Hindi, Kannada Strong executive presence with an ability to communicate with and effectively influence senior leaders and cross functional teams. Passion to challenge the status quo in pursuit of material performance improvement. Experience in selecting, developing, and managing global IFM service providers on Outsource mechanism and be able to manage as per the contract.
To Succeed in this Role Requires: Advanced working knowledge and hands-on experience of facilities in one or more of Electrical/Mechanical/Gas & Chems, controls and fire alarm systems. Ability to partner effectively with highly technical business leaders and internal customers. Ability to bring strategic insights to an operation that drives improved performance in complex environments. Data oriented, problem solver, is proactive, can foresee issues, always comes up with creative solutions and doesn’t hesitate to get hands dirty. Drive to discover new ways to solve problems and influence others to commit to change. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to direct/coach teams and provide feedback. Industry certification like CFM, CE, PE, etc., Working Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, NBC, MSDS, MOC, Fire and other relevant standards Troubleshooting know-how of FAPA, LSS, etc., Proficient with relevant tools and technologies (e.g. Office 365, CMMS platforms)
Additional Information Shift: Regular 5 days a week, and available on-call rest of the time Experience – 15 to 20 Years Education – B.E/BTech, ME./MTech (Electrical, Mechanical, Gas & Chemicals). Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time
