Application-Passport Inspection & Card Collection

You must have entered Taiwan if you want someone to pick up your Gold Card for you. They will have to bring the following to pick up your card:

1. Their ID/ARC
2. Your Application Receipt
3. Your Resident Authorization Certificate
4. Your Original Passport
5. An Affidavit written by you stating that you have authorized this person to pick up your Gold Card for you.

Note: You must present your Resident Authorization Certificate when entering Taiwan. If someone else is picking up your card on your behalf, they will need to bring it with them. However, if you applied domestically and have someone else pick up your Gold Card, it is not required.

Please log into the Online Application Portal , go to the Download Menu –> select Download the R.O.C (Taiwan) Resident Authorization for Overseas Applicants and Receipt Download. Next, print out your R.O.C. Resident Authorization Certificate in color to use it for entering Taiwan, then bring the Resident Authorization Certificate, receipt, and your passport to pick up your physical card at your designated National Immigration Agency Service Center 30 days of entering Taiwan.

If your application is still under review and you have already entered Taiwan (see Note), you do not need to complete the passport inspection process with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Please log in to the application platform and change your passport verification location to Taiwan. The National Immigration Agency will then directly review your application, and, if approved, issue the Employment Gold Card. For platform instructions, please refer to the FAQ section .

Note: You can only change the passport verification location from abroad to within Taiwan once your application reaches the “Passport Inspection” stage.

You can still enter Taiwan, but you must present your new and old passport, and Resident Authorization Certificate.

Please also remember to update your new passport number through the online application platform after you pick up your Gold Card.

1. To change to domestic review, you must first enter Taiwan before you can update on the system. (If you select domestic review without entering Taiwan, your application will be rejected due to a lack of entry records.)
2. If you have already completed the passport inspection, you can no longer change the card pickup location.
3. You can only change the passport verification location from abroad to within Taiwan once your application reaches the “Passport Verification” stage.
