Web Operations Specialist- eCommerce (shopify or bigcommerce)
Job Description:
As a Web Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our eCommerce platform. You will work closely with our marketing content team, inventory, and CRM team to ensure the website runs seamlessly, provides excellent user experience, and meets business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations Management:
Monitor site performance, ensuring optimal uptime and fast loading times. Manage product listings, updates, and removals to keep the online store current and accurate. Site Optimization and Maintenance:
Perform regular site audits to identify and resolve technical issues. Implement site updates, including new features, design changes, and content updates. Work with platform developers to fix bugs and improve site functionality. Customer Experience Enhancement:
Analyze customer feedback and behavior to identify opportunities for improving the user experience. Implement and test changes to the site to enhance usability and conversion rates. Ensure the site is mobile-friendly and optimized for various devices and browsers. Marketing and Promotions Support:
Create marketing and implement promotional campaigns, including discounts, sales, and special offers. Update banners, landing pages, and other promotional materials on the site. Track and report on the effectiveness of online marketing initiatives. Curate assortments of new products and add on marketing initiatives, run mass e-marketing program to promote new products: email marketing campaign, social media or advertising. And familiar with social media collaboration campaigns, working together with KOLs and Influencers. Analytics and Reporting:
Utilize backend analytics and other tools to monitor site performance and customer behavior. Generate regular reports on key metrics, such as traffic, sales, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive continuous improvement. Key Traits
Highly organized and detail oriented Strong understanding of eCommerce operations, particularly within the Shopify or BigCommerce ecosystem Working knowledge of website analytics tools and keyword tools such as SEMRUSH or Ahrefs Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment Must demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and passion for continuous improvement Nice to have not a must. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web development.
