Automotive Mechanical Engineer

•Design and develop mechanical structures for high-quality automotive audio products for world-leading automotive brands, from concept to mass production. •Lead mechanical design for products such as speaker drivers, amplifier enclosures, and audio system assemblies. Master application and structural design of materials like plastics, metal stamping, and die-casting for automotive environments. •Conduct detailed 3D design and 2D drafting with reasonable tolerance setting to ensure manufacturability and assembly accuracy. •Solve structural issues and troubleshoot problems during product development; lead design reviews to ensure smooth transition to mass production. •Interface with customers to understand and implement automotive requirements regarding structure, materials, and mounting interfaces. •Collaborate closely with internal electronics and acoustics teams, and external suppliers to optimize designs and resolve tooling and manufacturing process issues. •Manage project-related mechanical design tasks in support of PJM project management. •Able to stay at supplier sites when necessary to resolve urgent issues promptly.
