My Employment Gold Card is about to expire, can I apply for a Job-Seeking Alien Residence Certificate (ARC)? How do I extend my Job-Seeking ARC?

If you are not currently employed in Taiwan, you can apply for a 6+6 months job-seeking ARC. Please apply for it within 3 months before your Gold Card expires.

You can apply for an extension online via the “ Foreign Professionals Online Application Platform . Please go to “Apply for an Extension for Other Reasons” (Note) For instructions on how to apply for the job-seeking ARC online, please refer to the attached PDFs.

The application can also be submitted at any National Immigration Agency (NIA) Service Center. The required documents are: original passport and Employment Gold Card, a color headshot no hat (taken within the last 6 months). Fee: NT$1,000
