Can foreign spouses work in Taiwan?

The spouse of a Foreign Specialist Professional or Foreign Senior Professional can obtain an individual work permit from the Ministry of Labor. There are no restrictions on the type of work they may engage in.

However, if other regulations require professional certification or registration before engaging in certain work (for example, physicians), such adult children must obtain the relevant qualifications in accordance with those regulations.
